The Rotary Club of Hunt Valley Installs New Officers

HUNT VALLEY, MD (July 10, 2008) – The Rotary Club of Hunt Valley, MD held its annual Changeover Banquet on July 8 at Hayfields Country Club, and inducted their officers and directors for the upcoming Rotary year.

The incoming leadership for 2008–09 are: Greg Pierce, President; Maria Santana, President-Elect; Eric Miller, Treasurer; Jeannie Brandenburg, Secretary; Jesse Funk, Club Service; Krista Jacoby, Community Service; Nancy Young, International Service; and Don Giacomelli, Vocational Service.

Rotary District Governor Bette Lewis presided over the installation, and Past-District Governor Rich Carson recognized Past-President Jerry Neppl for his service to the club and to Rotary during the last year. Irving Spitzburg was presented with the club's Service Above Self award and Peggy Stansbury was named Rookie of the Year.

The club also presented over $4,000 to local charities who were supported by the Rotary Club of Hunt Valley over the past year.  These organizations included Assistance Center for Towson Town Churches (ACTC), Casey Cares Foundation, Operation Warm, and Maryland Society for Sight.

The club has also announced that its meetings will be moved to Hayfields Country Club, and, beginning in August, the meeting times will be each Wednesday at 12 noon. Upcoming programs and events can be found on the club's website at www.huntvalleyrotary.com.
